This recognition celebrates the amazing young people, families, staff, volunteers, and partners who make The Haven such a special place. Every day, we work together to provide support, opportunities, and a safe space where young people can grow in confidence, build friendships, and reach their full potential.

Tees Valley YMCA is a charity transforming communities, enabling & supporting young people to belong, contribute and thrive.
Tees Valley YMCA is a vibrant community organisation nestled in the heart of Tees Valley. With a mission to nurture youth development and foster a sense of well-being, the YMCA plays a vital role in providing affordable housing, engaging youth programs, and promoting overall community resilience. Through its dedicated efforts, Tees Valley YMCA stands as a cornerstone of support, bringing people together and making a positive impact on the lives of those in the local community.

We work in partnership to maximise opportunities for young people.
We offer:
Accommodation: 25 bed supported living facility, housing support, mediation, move on services and positive activities.
Youth Services: Detached youth work, centre-based provision and outreach provision in schools and the community.
The Hub: YMCA Tees Valley’s ‘Hub’ can be found at Middleton Court. We support all the young people of Darlington. Any young person can access activities.
Prevention and Enabling Services: Bespoke workshops and programmes which target risk-taking issues to help young people improve their knowledge and stay safe.

Tees Valley YMCA provides a range of co-produced opportunities for young people aged 8-25 years across the Tees Valley area. Learn More
Youth Clubs
Weekly youth clubs across Darlington for young people aged 10-25 years, and are free to attend and held in local venues. Learn More
Holiday Activities
We offer free (or part funded) opportunities for young people aged 10-19 years (up to 25 years) in Darlington in most school holidays. Learn More
After School
The after-school club provides a safe space for children to thrive in a caring and structured environment beyond school hours. Learn More
The Hub
The Hub can be found at Middleton Court. Any young person can access activities, advice and guidance, and informal learning programmes. Learn More
