It’s an exciting time at Tees Valley YMCA. Our team has worked hard throughout the pandemic to keep support for young people going as well as adapt where needed. We’ve recently secured new contracts and projects that build on this work, offering more opportunities to young people.

We are currently recruiting for a range of permanent full-time and part-time posts, with various hours available. We are also interested in hearing from people who would like to work evenings and/or weekends.

Youth Worker 12hr contract, £14.50p/h 1 year fixed term

As a Youth Worker you will work within a team  to deliver targeted youth services in Darlington designed to support children and young people aged 10 to 25 who are facing significant challenges in their lives. Our work focuses on those living in areas of high deprivation and young people affected by issues such as social isolation, low self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, bullying and other complex needs.

If you possess significant experience of working with young people who have complex barriers, and can rise to the challenge of helping and supporting them to live well and thrive, we want to hear from you.
